Keller Williams (KW) Southwest Cycling Team Joins Forces to Raise Funds for MS 150,

  • “Giving where we live.”
  • Summary: Captain Joe Rothchild, along with Co-Captain, Norman Lew, and the entire KW Cycling Team ready to take the road from Houston to Austin

Houston, TX - The Keller Williams (KW) Southwest Cycling Team is ready to hit the road for a cause, yet another example of the company’s mission to “Giving where we live.”

Heading the 19-member team are veteran riders, Captain Joe Rothchild and Co-Captain Norman Lew. Rothchild, organizer of the KW Southwest team, rides his 7th year for MS 150 team.  In addition to the KWSW agents and brokers, numerous other friends and family support the efforts by riding along with the group.

Rothchild has a passion for riding and physical health. He wanted a cycling team to support the National MS Society fundraising efforts and with the help of Norman Lew, Agent Services Director, they got the team “off the ground and running.” Each year with Rothchild’s support, a team of volunteers plan and work the details for a flawless and memorable ride for the cycling team.

Lew explained that not only are they raising funds for a worthy cause, they get the chance to do much more. “I just love riding. Finding new routes, new sights to see and new riders to meet and ride with. Getting lost along the way is part of the fun. Cyclists have a common goal—fitness and joy of the wind in our face,” he said. “Riding in the BP MS150 and raising money for the National MS Society helps them continue their research and get closer to a cure. It also helps so many riders keep in shape.”

The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The 2015 BP MS 150 had a record breaking year raising $20.3 million dollars, bringing hope to many who are living with multiple sclerosis.

Mark Naegli, BP MS150 Executive Director, expressed his appreciation for the dedication and perseverance of the KW Southwest Cycling Team and their multi-year participation. “We recognize the contribution of this great team and understand the commitment it takes to year after year to join us for this endeavor.”

HOUSTON SPEAKER DALLAS LOUIS SPEAKS ABOUT IMPACT OF DIVORCE ON CHILDREN

  • My position is about your behavior and choosing to be an adult.
  • Summary: Dallas Louis makes it her mission to educate people about the impact of divorce on children and families

Houston, TX – Having grown up in two homes after her parents divorced, Dallas Louis makes it her mission to educate people about the impact of divorce on children. Using the analogy of how broken crayons can still color, this Houston author, speaker and blogger, also mom and wife, helps children of divorce see the opportunity to live into their full adult potential.

During the Easter season, we often focus on beautiful colored eggs as a reminder of the new life that emerged from the tomb after the death of Christ. However, eggs can’t fulfill their purpose until they are cracked open. Whether their ultimate destination is to release a newborn chick or to become food, they don’t fulfill that function until they are cracked. Likewise, while we might enjoy the box full of new brightly colored crayons, crayons don’t fulfill their purpose of making art until they are used. In being used, they are often broken.

Using the analogy of broken crayons that still color, Louis shares her thoughts about helping children when their parents divorce. She talks about how children are often broken by divorce, but like broken crayons are sometimes melted together, children are sometimes merged into new combinations of families. The melted-together crayons offer new coloring option. So too the divorce and re-marriage of birth parents can form new combinations of families that can enrich a child’s life.

Divorce is one of life’s more painful experiences for everyone involved. In-laws struggle to know how or if to stay connected to former sons and daughters-in-law. Friends wonder if they should stay in touch with one or the other or neither of their divorced friends. But the real adjustment falls to the children who love both parents and have to shuffle back and forth between them. It is a time of many conflicting and complicated emotions and the situation really can’t be resolved easily. Louis knows this all to well, which is why she longs to engage others in conversations at retreats, church groups, spiritual gatherings or conferences.  “This is something I know. I can help them,” Louis said.

“In fact, both my husband and I are products of divorce.  Between the both of us, we have had NINE parental influences through the years.  That total includes each time a parent remarried and divorced.  That did not leave us in a love triangle, it left us in a tangled, shapeless mess.”

After she shared her perspective in a blog she discovered,  “The reader response was incredible to where they said ‘finally somebody is calling everybody out.’ My position is about your behavior and choosing to be an adult. My father used me deplorably against my mother. I don’t understand using children as pawns. It was all over the place when my parents divorced,” Louis said.

Relying on her faith, for both she and her husband, Jeff, is how they continue to grow as a family with their three children.

“God holds everything and is the center of all of it,” Louis said. “I’m fallen and sinful. My God is bigger than my sin and has my marriage in the palm of his hand. Your faith can get you through every day and even the worst days of your life.”

KW (Keller Williams) Southwest Agents Join Prestigious Agents Leadership Council

  • “Give where you live.”
  • Summary: Chad St. Jean, Team Lead for the KW Southwest Market Center is excited about another exciting year of education and growth with ALC leadership

Sugar Land, TX. KW (Keller Williams) Southwest members are proud to announce six of their agents who have been selected as the Keller Williams Agent Leadership Council (ALC) for 2017.

KW Southwest agents who participate for 2017 include Liz Guevara, Sharon Parker, Cathy Stubbs, Melissa Salies, Kimbra Valachovic and Ross McEathron.

The Keller Williams ALC is made up of the top 20 percent of agents in each office. This dynamic ‘board of directors’ is actively involved in the leadership decisions that make the office more productive and profitable. Their roles are to inspire, motivate, participate, and listen. By having input from these associates, each office can tailor their strategies to thrive in all stages of the market.

A covenant agreement of ALC responsibilities is entered into by all ALC members with their Market Center peers. One of the greatest aspects of the Keller Williams Realty model is the Agent Leadership Council.

As an ALC member, agents not only attend monthly meetings, but also offer their expertise on a wide variety of topics. These range from:

    • Develop policies and guidelines for the office (market center)
    • Discuss concerns associates may have regarding how business is being handled
    • Set standards in the market center
    • Resolve any problems as they arise
    • Mastermind strategies to support and grow the current office business plan
    • Be protectors of the company culture

As members of the ALC, agents get to have a say in how the company is run and they are treated as business partners. In addition, agents share a true passion for making sure Keller Williams is the best place to run a real estate business.

Another role of the ALC is to be of assistance to associates in the office.

New agents have lots of questions and who better to answer them than the agents who have been there and know how to handle certain situations. Also, since these ALC members are active in selling real estate, they are available to be shadowed by agents who want to see how a successful agent goes about earning business.

    About KW (Keller Williams) Southwest:

At KW Southwest, our mission is simple, “Give where you live.” At the core of KW Southwest is the conviction who you do business with matters. They believe the company we keep can contribute to our lives in untold ways.

Power Drop Dazzles Airport Managers at The Annual ARN Conference

Summary: The single use-phone charger kiosk makes a statement among attendees

April 12th 2017, - Los Angeles CA - Power Drop - a groundbreaking self-service kiosk that sells one-time use recyclable phone chargers, exhibited at the Airport Revenue News Conference in New Orleans.  The ARN Conference is one of the leading airport terminal conventions in the USA with nearly every international airport attending. The Power Drop team displayed their state of the art “slimline” kiosk produced by The Venders

Airport management teams gathered around the kiosk to experience the purchase process and try out a sample charger.  “At some points there was a line 10 people deep waiting to try out the kiosk” said Joe Menichiello, Managing Director of Power Drop.  “We were able to speak with the decision makers of most of the nation’s leading airports.  This is what we came to do and what we certainly accomplished”.  Power Drop exhibited alongside some of the nation’s top retailers and restaurant groups.

Many exhibit goers agreed that the Power Drop kiosk stole the show and easily could be the top new concept for airports moving forward.  Most airports are looking for a solution for their guests who frequently are forced to sit next to an outlet or pay absurd amounts of money for a portable charger.  This issue is even turning into a safety hazard as people are sitting on the floor while they are connected or leaving their phones unattended while charging which extremely prohibited.

Alongside the Power Drop team was their Canadian partner, Dustin Basisky, who also met with top Canadian airports and will be rolling out within the Edmonton International Airport by summertime. Hundreds of samples were distributed to eager attendees who needed a charge. Most airport managers agreed that there is a tremendous opportunity within their spaces.

They also commented that the ease of the machines as well as the simplicity of the purchase makes this a no brainer for their locations.  The Power Drop is available for purchase to qualified entrepreneurs throughout the USA.  3 kiosk packages start at $16,500.

Finally - entire world will be saved!

No more worries about climate change.

A new sensational "trap" captures carbon dioxide from the air.

Nature, water, animals, millions of people and children, are hit by climate change. But now you'll never more need to worry about your life, your kids, or our world. The whole World's, and Your Company's dream has now come true. Human-made carbon dioxide-free air, e.g. reduced from 400ppm to 300ppm. Finally, we can save our world. No need to worry anymore, about fossil energy.

All "Good Green Organizations," Love and Applauds, of course, this Innovation.

The sketch shows HyMeAirs carbon dioxide "trap," which with the help of wind and graphene filter directly, captures CO2 and N2O from the air. ("Molecular size 44").
A fantastic innovation which means that CCS-technology, will become simple, cheap and very efficient. HyMeAir has begun a collaboration with a research group lead by Professor, a specialist in graphene filter at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH , to quickly give you and the whole world a bright, clean future. Read more>

Soon, we can use this technology to reduce the greenhouse gasses to the level deemed appropriate by the Paris Agreement of the United Nations. That will save the world from the perils of global climate change.

Climate change cost? The IMF has estimated that all costs, such as support for wind power, solar power, biofuels and batteries, indirect and direct subsidies, certificates, allowances, numerous targeted punitive taxes against fossil energy and carbon footprint, and climate change itself, amounted to $5,600 billion in 2014. The costs are obviously much higher today, estimated to be much more than $7,000 billion. An average of $1,000 per year per person in the world!

With the HyMeAir unique greenhouse gasses "trap," the whole world can continue to use unlimited amounts of fossil energy, without affecting the climate. All people in the world will also, on average, get $ 1000 in additional net income every year. (According to IMF figures.)

(He have even founded a computer company that became Sweden's most fast growing company and stock exchange winner.)
